Death was not a part of the original design.

God created us in His eternal image to commune with Him forever, but our disobedience resulted in our separation from His best. However, even though we were in the wrong, God’s love for us was so strong that He sent His perfect Son, Jesus, to pay the penalty for our decision to step outside the boundaries of God’s perfect plan. If any of us will acknowledge that we’re wrong, and our way is wrong, and He is right – if we accept Him as the Truth and submit to Him completely, He promises to restore us to our original position – as eternal, righteous sons and daughters of the Most High God.
